Applicant E-rate coordinators have a significant responsibility to secure funding for Internet access in K-12 schools and public libraries. These institutions depend on federal E-rate financial support, and it is up to E-rate coordinators to deliver these EdTech funds; however, doing so requires they successfully navigate a web of federal regulations, forms, and deadlines. Too often, the dedication and sacrifice of these coordinators is underappreciated and goes unnoticed. No hard-working professional should be ignored or taken for granted.
This is the reason Funds For Learning conducts its weekly “E-rate Coordinator Spotlight”. We want to honor the diligence and commitment of these unsung heroes. Their stories illuminate the painstaking effort required to bring fast Internet to our nation’s K-12 students and library patrons; and their experience offers us important insights and insider tips to help others succeed as well.
